Paliokaliva Apartments and Villas Review. I recently stayed at Paliokaliva Apartments and Villas in Tsilivi, and it was a wonderful experience. The breakfast served here features fabulous food options, including toast, cereal, cakes, and pancakes. I stayed in a studio suite that offered a lovely view of the garden and came well-equipped with an electric kettle, refrigerator, and kitchenware, making it very comfortable for my stay. the location is excellent, just a short distance from the main attractions, making it easy to explore everything!

This place is so beautiful and a great escape from the crowded island. You never really need to go anywhere as there is a pool with a fantastic view of the water -- in fact people with small children just stayed here to play. You can eat for reasonable rates at the hotel or at a small restaurant across the street -- both with lovely views and quiet. Everyone is friendly and helpful, and the hotel has Internet service, albeit slow. The island itself is a bit crazy to drive around on -- not many road signs and crowded street -- but the hotel is centrally located between nightlife and quiet beaches. If you can get a room here and you can afford it, this was the best place we saw anywhere on Zakynthos.

Overall I didn't enjoy my stay. The hotel was way overpriced for what it had to offer. Hotel staff was unfriendly and rude. The wi-fi never worked inside the rooms. Rooms where small and uncomfortable with very low ceiling between first and second floor and as a result I bumped my head really bad a couple of times. Too many lizards on the exterior walls during the night. I love Zakynthos but I would never go to Paliokaliva village again!

We had a fantastic stay here, with incredibly friendly and polite staff, and we couldn't have asked for better value for our money.

The beach was quite a trek away, and it was difficult to reach without a car. the location was quite secluded, making it hard to find much nightlife or entertainment options.
